The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club
2019 HALL OF FAME DINNER
Basketball Hall of Famer and Humanitarian
WITH SPECIAL GUEST
Thomas W. Dortch
100 Black Men of America
Thursday, November 21, 2019
6 pm at the Savannah Civic Center
Join us as we honor and induct former members Melvin Williams, President of Nicor Gas and Rosemary Banks into our Hall of Fame.
We will also be inducting long-time supporter and honorary member Herman Friedman and will present the Frank Callen Caring For Kids Award to the Junior League of Savannah, the Impact Church of Savannah and Mrs. Kacy Cosentini, a long-time club volunteer.
For more than 100 years, the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club has provided youth development opportunities for young people in the Savannah community.
Proceeds from this event will support the organization’s efforts to continue providing hope and opportunities for great futures for our young people.
Members of the club range in age from 5 to 18 and while participating in club events, they are away from the streets and involved in life-enriching programs during the most dangerous time of day for them, which is between 3:00 and 9:00 pm.
Ninety percent of our members are on grade level, with 98% expected to graduate high school on time. Post high school, 90% of our club participants intend to continue on to college.
Thank you for your support.
