ABOUT FUTUREBIRDS:
Momentum. Evolution. Expansion. Those are important traits for a critically-acclaimed group that recently celebrated its 15-year anniversary. “When you’ve been a band for as long as we have, there’s a lot of moving on,” says Thomas Johnson. “We just keep going, because that’s how you keep things fresh. That’s how you keep the spark.” By matching the sharply-written songs of three distinct frontmen with a progressive mix of rock & roll, electrified folk, and cosmic American roots music, Futurebirds have built an audience that’s as wide as the band’s own sound. With Easy Company, Futurebirds’ fifth studio album, that sound reaches a new peak.
Featuring four songs apiece from singer/songwriters Womack, Johnson, and Carter King, Easy Company feels like a celebration of the tight-knit bonds that have held Futurebirds aloft since 2008. Back then, the guys were college students at the University of Georgia, building a buzz around town with shows at fraternity houses and local bars. Years later, they’ve become headliners at bucket-list venues like The Ryman and The Fillmore, collaborating with fellow genre benders like My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel along the way.For Futurebirds, the road goes on forever. Easy Company is the latest stop on a journey that’s still unfolding, winding its own path through American rock & roll, giving Futurebirds and the grassroots community they’ve created — the Birdfam — a new place to land.

WHO KILLED SANTA CLAUS? YOU DECIDE!
That’s the question the residents of Mistletoe Falls have to answer in this all-new chapter in the hit “Christmas in Mistletoe Falls” series, a hilariously irreverent musical skewering of TV Christmas movies from a guy that writes a lot of them.
The denizens of Mistletoe Falls have been through a lot! At first, it seemed to be the kind of place that only existed in one of those cheesy TV Christmas movies; a place where everyone loves the holidays, the girl always gets the guy, and there’s always a happy ending. It was nice, but not exactly “real.” Some magical help from Santa helped them keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff and it seemed like they were all ready to live happily ever after. But the lure of cheesy TV Christmas movies is strong and before they know it, things started to go back to old ways that they thought they had left behind, driven there, in part, by a dastardly version of Mrs. Claus!
But they worked it all out and everyone thought they were going to live happily ever after. Little did they know that murder was on it’s way to Mistletoe Falls and it is time for Santa to meet his maker!
So, who killed Santa Claus? That’s up to you! The audience gets to vote at intermission and then we’ll change the ending based on what you decide!
Screenwriter Rick Garman has written nearly two dozen holiday films for networks like Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, and is once again bringing that Christmas magic to the Savannah Cabaret stage!
Filled with live cabaret performances of holiday classics like “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Let It Snow!,” “White Christmas,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and many more, this is sure to be a holiday classic that hopefully won’t get the guy who writes movies like this fired.
There will be four shows – Thursday, December 18 at 7pm; Friday, December 19 at 7pm; Saturday, December 20 at 3pm; and Sunday, December 21 at 3pm. WHO KILLED SANTA CLAUS?

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum—an acclaimed museum dedicated to celebrating and preserving America’s maritime legacy—is delighted to present “Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky,” an exciting new solo exhibition featuring nautical-inspired, mixed-media art by Rob Strati, from September 25, 2025 through April 12, 2026.
“Beyond the Plate” will showcase new work by one of America’s hottest contemporary artists. Strati has recently enjoyed sold-out exhibits at Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis and FREMIN Gallery in New York and has sold work to top international art collectors in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai and beyond. Strati’s art incorporates broken porcelain plates that have been embellished and adorned with creative details. The exhibition features the artist’s latest bold, kinetic mixed-media works and limited-edition prints as well as an ambitious site-specific installation that will be suspended from the ceiling of the Ships of the Sea atrium.
Strati’s latest series was inspired by a porcelain plate from his wife’s late mother, which accidentally fell and broke into fragments. In order to preserve the shards of the shattered plate, and the memory of someone vitally important to both him and his wife, the artist began working on his “Fragmented” series, using pen and paper to “explore the possibilities of things broken and the stories that can evolve from the pieces left behind.”
Each piece of Strati’s art starts with the breaking of a porcelain plate and takes approximately two weeks to complete. Although the artist is rigorous about his creative process, he always allows space for spontaneous ideas to emerge from the fragments. Over time, he has learned important lessons about art and life by creating new works of art from broken shards.
Strati describes his work as a “mix of chaos and control” that is constantly evolving. He hopes his upcoming exhibition at Ships of the Sea will inspire visitors to think about time, creativity and beauty in fresh, new ways. All of the art in “Beyond the Plate” will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.
ABOUT ROBERT STRATI: Originally from Boston, Strati grew up in Columbus, Ohio and earned a B.A. in History of Art from Ohio State University. His art has been exhibited at leading international museums and art galleries and has been featured in The Art Newspaper, Whitehot Magazine, Reclaim, Beaux Arts, Sculpture Magazine, Vice and The Village Voice. Strati’s work and “Beyond the Plate” will also be featured in ARTS Southeast’s fall issue of IMPACT Magazine in October 2025.

Throughout her storied career, actress Glenn Close has collaborated closely with costume designers to help bring the characters she embodies to life. Inspired by the creativity and craftsmanship she saw in her film and theater productions, she began collecting and preserving costumes and accessories from her projects after her first movie, The World According to Garp (1982). In 2017, she donated her over 800-piece collection to the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection in the School of Art, Architecture Design at Indiana University.
First presented at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University in 2020, The Art of the Character: Highlights from the Glenn Close Costume Collection will offer visitors a unique opportunity to thoroughly explore the careful consideration and exacting details that teams of designers, drapers, and other craftspeople created in over 50 ensembles and numerous examples of jewelry, shoes, and other accessories. It will feature the work of award-winning costume designers, including Anthony Powell (1935–2021), Ann Roth (b. 1949), James Acheson (b. 1946), and Alexandra Byrne (b. 1962), and costumers like Barbara Matera Ltd (active 1968–2001), from 14 of Close’s best-loved movies.
This exhibition is organized by Telfair Museums in partnership with the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection at the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, and Design of Indiana University.
