Eastern Wharf is delighted to host the second annual Eastern Wharf Food Truck Festival on Saturday, November 15 from 1 to 6 p.m. This free, family-friendly event is the Lowcountry’s biggest and tastiest food truck festival and will feature more than 30 food trucks showcasing the breadth and depth of the region’s growing food truck scene, plus high-energy live music throughout the afternoon.

The second annual Eastern Wharf Food Truck Festival will feature food trucks serving Asian, Latin, Jamaican and Caribbean dishes as well as classic American fare and Southern favorites, from smoked BBQ to fresh seafood.

Participating local food trucks include 520 Wings, Bowtie Barbecue, Molly’s Fish & Chips, Vida Fresh by Latin Chicks, The Big Cheese, Sweet Spice Mobile, King of Pops, Bayou Cafe Food Truck, Keller Wood Fire Pizza, Ark Royal Burgers, Little Diddle’s Sweetery, The Red Taco Truck, Philly Boyz Cheesesteaks, Mac Attack, Krazian, Royal Tasty Avenue Food Truck, The Naked Dog, Slow Fire BBQ, Starship Ice Cream, The Cone Ranger, WagginWheels, Nieve with Love and Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffee & Smoothies.

Join United Way of the Coastal Empire on Thanksgiving morning at Daffin Park for its 17th Annual Turkey Trot! Come as you are or in a Thanksgiving themed costume and hit the 4-mile course.
The race route starts at Daffin Park, loops through the picturesque Ardsley Park neighborhood, and ends back at Daffin Park. Participants are invited to a post-race awards ceremony, which includes food and beverages. No rollerblades or bicycles please. Pets are permitted only with participants and on a leash. Strollers are welcome! We are rain or shine!

8:00 am Kids K (0.62 miles, ages 10 and under) (kids k race bibs will be available at packet pick-up *complimentary, included participation ribbon)
8:15 am Diaper Dash (35 yards/0.02 mile, ages 3 and under, *complimentary)

The Savannah Theatre, in the historic district of downtown Savannah, brings holiday glitz and glitter with “A Christmas Tradition.” This one-hour variety show features dancing reindeer, Santa and his elves, along with an award-winning cast of singers and a live band performing all the classic Christmas favorites to benefit the single mothers of Shelter From the Rain.

Shelter From the Rain, Inc. (SFTR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, based out of Savannah, Georgia, that provides assistance to single mothers and children in need. This year, we are raising funds to support our new Mental Health for Single Moms program, our Virtual Tutoring Services for Students, our Community Diaper Bank, our Hope For the Holidays Christmas Giveaway and our other programs for moms.
