Victory Drive occupies a unique place in both in the history and geography of Savannah. Originally known as Estill Avenue, the important east-west corridor today is both a city street and a U.S. highway, and has been the subject of studies and proposals over the years to balance its roles as both a neighborhood street lined with architecturally significant structures and a major thoroughfare from the west side of Savannah to Tybee Island.
Massie Heritage Center invites you to a panel discussion with three citizens who have been involved with ongoing discussions about the future Victory Drive. Panelists include:
• City of Savannah District Four Alderman Nick Palumbo
• Congress for the New Urbanism Director of Engagement, Brent Buice
• Heathy Savannah Director, Armand Turner
• SCCPSS District 1 representative, Denise Grabowski
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. John R. Bennett, assistant professor of public administration in the Department of Political Science and Public Affairs at Savannah State University.
