Understanding the NEW Stormwater Fee and Credits Webinar

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Savannah invite Chamber members to an educational webinar about the City’s new Stormwater Utility Fee, which will take effect September 1, 2026.

During the webinar, representatives from the City of Savannah Water Resources Department will provide an overview of the Stormwater Utility, explain how fees for commercial and other non-single-family residential properties are calculated, and review the credit opportunities available to eligible property owners and utility customers.

This session is intended for commercial property owners, facility and property managers, business owners, institutional property representatives, and others responsible for managing developed properties within Savannah city limits.

Attendees will learn:

Why the Stormwater Utility was established and when the fee will take effect
How fees are calculated and how impervious surface area is used in determining the fee
What stormwater fee credits are available
How to complete and submit a credit application
How to contact City staff for additional assistance
