The Arts at Messiah - Award-winning musicians Russell Iceberg, violin & Felix Hong, pianist

This concert will feature two internationally acclaimed musicians. Their program will showcase some of the best works for their winning combination of instruments, and is sure to be pure musical magic! No reservations are required. No admission charge, but a suggested donation of $20 per person would be most welcomed.

Praised for his “extreme finesse” and “boundless energy,” violinist Russell Iceberg leads a dynamic career as a solo violinist and chamber musician, concertizing throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe. He has won multiple awards, including grand prizes at the Golden Violin Competition, the Peter Mendell award, and top prizes at Prix d’Éurope and Allentown Symphony Orchestra’s Schadt String Competition. He is a graduate of McGill University’s Schulich School of Music and Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.

Pianist Felix Hong has emerged as one of Canada’s most promising young pianists. He captured the Grand Prize of the prestigious Concours Prix d’Europe in 2017 and the Prix Jean Marchand for the best collaborative pianist in 2022. He was named to the CBC’s “List of 30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30” in 2017, and one of the rising star artists in La Scena Musicale Magazine.
