It’s been a year since Sidney Prescott’s (Neve Campbell) mother was murdered. The teenager can barely stay afloat, overwhelmed by her grief. On the anniversary of her mother’s death, she gets a call that changes everything for her — and the horror genre — forever. Set in a small California town, Scream both satirized and revitalized the slasher genre, blending self-aware humor and numerous movie references into a bloody love letter to horror itself.
A star-studded cast, including Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich, and Matthew Lilliard, joins Campbell in the ultimate suburban nightmare. With a deadly-sharp script by Kevin Williamson and masterful direction from Wes Craven, Scream outlined the rules of a scary movie and then broke them. Join us for a special Halloween-themed screening featuring a photo booth, concessions specials, and other spooky surprises.
Tickets for the film are free for SCAD Card holders; $5 for students, military, and seniors; and $8 for the general public. For more information, email scadtheaters@scad.edu.
