SCAD Cinema Circle: 'The Way We Were'

One of Hollywood’s greatest screen romances, Robert Redford is iconically paired with Barbara Streisand in roles tailor-made to their unique talents. Opposites attract when, during their college days, fiery leftist Katie Morosky meets feckless WASP writer Hubbell Gardiner, and so begins an attraction that will span several tumultuous decades of American history. With cracker jack direction by Sydney Pollack, an intelligent script by Arthur Laurents, Streisand’s immortal title song, and Redford at his most dazzling handsome, heartbreak never felt so good.
