Event Details

Join us for a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 29th at 9:30 AM celebrating a new chapter in Savannah’s cultural and tourism scene with the grand opening of the Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum, a world-class attraction dedicated to the exciting world of piracy and artifacts from centuries of maritime history. Following the ribbon cutting, guests can purchase tickets to experience the museum. The Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum transports guests back to the 17th and 18th centuries through immersive exhibits, rare artifacts, and interactive storytelling. Designed for both history enthusiasts and families alike, the museum offers a captivating blend of education and entertainment. In a key exhibit, visitors can learn all about the recently uncovered exploits of Savannah’s own documented privateer & pirate, Captain Caleb Davis. Each visit ends with a plunge into the Pirates’ Tavern where a lively pirate crew serves themed cocktails, wine, beer, and mocktails that the whole family can enjoy. Every sip and every detail, from the décor to the storytelling, sends visitors sailing straight into the piratical adventures of their wildest dreams. The museum, located in City Market, is open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm, with the last entry at 5:15pm.
