Event Details

The Savannah Community Memory Project invites residents to share YOUR Savannah Story!
By sharing your story with the Municipal Archives, your voice, images, and documents will become part of our collective memory, available to all who seek it.
Throughout 2026, the Municipal Archives is hosting an open call for residents to share stories, photographs, and documents that highlight Savannah’s neighborhoods, social groups, churches, schools, community organizations, events, leaders, landmarks, and your favorite memories in your community.
How can you participate?
• Bring flat items such as photographs, postcards, building plans, or scrapbooks to be scanned
• Share a few memories on camera
• Sit for a traditional Oral History interview
Can’t come in person to a Drop-In Day?
The online Savannah Community Memory Project Portal is perfect for anyone who would like to share their story, images, or documents from the comfort of their home.
Location:
City Hall, Archives and History Room (Room 104)
2 E. Bay Street, Savannah, GA 31401
