Pianist William Ge ~ Rising Star Concert at The Arts at Messiah 2026

William Ge truly is a “rising star,” having won numerous awards and scholarships including winning Fifth Prize at the 2025 U.S. Chopin Piano Competition, the top prize at the 2023 Jacob Flier International Piano Competition, Grand Prize at the 2023 Boston Pop’s Fidelity Investments Young Artists Competition, First Prize at the 2023 NEC Prep Concerto Competition, and Second Prize and the Chopin Award at the 2023 MTNA National Senior Piano Competition.

He has been awarded scholarships to renowned music festivals, including the Cliburn International Junior Piano Festival, Morningside Music Bridge, PianoSummer at New Paltz, Art of the Piano, and the Frost Chopin Academy.

William has performed across the United States and Europe in many venues. He has performed as a soloist with ten orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Pops, the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, NEC-Prep’s Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Frost Chopin Festival Chamber Orchestra. He also performed four solo recitals in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 “Chopin for All” concert series and appeared on NPR’s From the Top.

An undergraduate student at Harvard University (class of 2029), a Caroline D. Bradley Scholar, and a four-year recipient of the Chopin Foundation Scholarship, William began studying piano at age four. At age 12, he made his orchestral debut with the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra in December 2019.

The program for this concert will feature Bach’s Partita No. 6 in E minor, BWV 830, Chopin’s Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Op. 22, Liszt’s Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104, and Brahms’ Sonata No. 1 in C Major Op. 1.
