Park Place 40th Anniversary with Golf Tournament, Cocktail Party Fundraisers

Park Place Outreach, Inc., a nonprofit that provides programming for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth in our community, will host a golf tournament and cocktail party fundraisers in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Join Park Place on the greens to tee off for a worthy cause. This event is more than a day of golfing; each swing and every putt will directly support at-risk youth and families served at Park Place Outreach. The golf tournament will be followed by the 40th Anniversary Cocktail Celebration at 5:30 p.m.

This event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to support programming, youth, and families served at Park Place Outreach, Inc.

Sponsorships for the golf tournament start at $500 and a four-person team starts at $850. Individual tickets for the cocktail celebration are $75. Based on statistics from the National Conference of State Legislatures, an estimated 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness in the United States each year, 700,000 of whom are unaccompanied minors. In the city of Savannah, one in four families live in poverty and every school in Chatham County has students – more than 1,000 total – experiencing some sort of homelessness.

This year, Park Place Outreach will celebrate 40 years of providing programming for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth in our community. During that time, they have assisted approximately 7,000 young people by providing services to at-risk youth and their families, increasing their functional level, and reunifying families whenever possible. Services include temporary shelter and non-residential services consisting of prevention, family preservation, and outreach to provide comprehensive care and vital support.

ABOUT PARK PLACE:
The mission of Park Place Outreach, Inc. is to provide services to at-risk youth and their families, increase their functional level, and reunify families whenever possible. Since 1984, Park Place has served more than 6,500 teens in the Savannah community, providing emergency shelter, meals, and counseling to at-risk youth and their families.
