Oatland After Hours: A Toast to Teaching

Toast to Teaching is Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s annual teacher appreciation event designed to celebrate educators as they begin a new school year. This complimentary evening provides teachers with an opportunity to relax, connect with community partners, enjoy refreshments, and experience the unique educational opportunities Oatland Island offers. Throughout the event, educators participate in animal encounters, Digitarium shows, guided nature experiences, Heritage Village activities, and standards-aligned learning demonstrations that showcase how Oatland Island supports classroom instruction through engaging, hands-on field trips and outreach programs. By highlighting these educational experiences while recognizing the dedication of teachers, Toast to Teaching strengthens partnerships with local schools and reinforces Oatland Island’s commitment to inspiring learning both inside and outside the classroom.
