Using the Green-Meldrim House as an example, John Ward, fine arts consultant/former Head of Silver Department, Sotheby’s New York, will discuss retail trends and shopping for domestic architectural details in the mid-19th century. Charles Green’s Gothic Revival home is an excellent case study because of the ledger for the construction of the home which includes all vendors, materials and workman involved with the building of the home.
