Event Details

Be creative on Ossabaw Island. Paint, draw, make photographs, write, play your musical instruments, or experience free range creativity on Ossabaw’s North End. Bring your own creative supplies that you can transport without assistance. This is a “no agenda” walking day on Ossabaw Island’s North End. The Torrey-West house is not a part of this trip.

What to bring:

• Lunches and beverage.

• Filled and refillable water bottles.

• All of your own creative materials. (You must be able to carry all your gear without assistance.)

About the day: Travel 30 minutes across Ossabaw Sound by pontoon boat from Skidaway Island to the North End of Ossabaw Island.

An Ossabaw Island visit includes excellent art-making inspiration: lush maritime forests and marsh wetlands, 19th- and 20th-century historic buildings, and possible sightings of a variety of wildlife including wading birds and feral hogs, as well as free-roaming domesticated donkeys, and perhaps an alligator. Take short hikes on forest and marsh-side trails.

All Ossabaw Island trips will be conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations in effect in Georgia and Chatham County at the time of the trip.

About a week before the trip, all registered will receive an email with specific information about the day, including a virtual release/hold harmless form required to be completed by each person who is attending.
