February First Friday Festivities at ARTS Southeast

ARTS Southeast is excited to welcome the new year with our first First Friday event of 2025! Please find attached the press release information for a host of special art events taking place on Friday, February 7th from 5-9PM:

In The Ellis Gallery at ARTS Southeast, the group exhibition ON::View Revue offers a look back at our ON::View Artists-in-Residence of 2024. Featuring award-winning film, site specific installation, interactive sound pieces and immersive storytelling, the exhibition brings together the work of artists from around the globe.

In our Supporter Gallery, we’ll present Begin Again, a Spring Group Exhibition featuring fresh work by Artist Supporters. Through painting, drawing, collage, photography and more, Begin Again considers how artists confront change, continuity, impermanence, and perpetual becoming.

In the ON::View Residency, Jon Roberts (Burlington, VT) concludes his January Residency, presenting his sculptures alongside photographs documenting their installation in Savannah and the surrounding landscape. His works reveal faces that “seem to mysteriously appear out of the negative space in the material.”

The evening will also feature Open Studios with our downstairs studio artists, extended hours in the Sulfur Shop, and a pop up with Savannah Slithering, who will be sharing free lantern kits for their upcoming parade on March 1st.
