Family Day: Southern Sweets

The Davenport House – an iconic c. 1820 property owned and operated by Historic Savannah Foundation – invites children of all ages to explore the rich history of Southern sweets.

Generously sponsored by Byrd’s Famous Cookies, Family Day attendees can sample classic Southern desserts, including historic recipes and cookie favorites, along with live cooking demonstrations and more. This fun-filled event wouldn’t be complete without a taste of Byrd’s own signature confections.

Family Day at the Davenport House Museum is free and open to the public.
