City of Savannah Youth Poetry Slam Competition

The City of Savannah Youth Poetry Slam is a full-day celebration of youth voice and poetry, taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The day kicks off with a free, all-ages poetry workshop, followed by preliminary slam rounds in the afternoon featuring young poets from across the region. The event builds to the evening “Big Show” from 5:30–7:30 PM, where finalists, ages 13-18, take the stage in a high-energy, city-wide competition. Whether you’re competing or coming to support, this is where Savannah’s young voices come alive. This event is free and open to the public.
