Event Details

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center (CCAC) is raising public awareness in Savannah throughout the month, beginning with a special event on April 1.
On Wednesday, April 1 at 9 a.m. in Forsyth Park, members of the Savannah community are invited to help CCAC tie blue ribbons, a symbol of child abuse prevention, around Forsyth Park’s historic oak trees to bring public awareness to National Child Abuse Prevention Month. CCAC kindly asks participants to meet by the tennis courts at the southeast corner of the park, near the intersection of Drayton Street and Park Avenue, to join the event.
The monthlong Child Abuse Prevention Month observance in the United States is dedicated to raising awareness and highlighting the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect.
