Carnegie Library Heritage Center Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The public is invited to attend the reopening and rededication of the historic Carnegie Library as the Carnegie Library Heritage Center. Opening after renovation and repair, the Center will preserve and celebrate the powerful legacy of Savannah’s historic Carnegie Library. Through museum-quality exhibits, oral history recordings, and interactive displays, the library will serve as a beacon of knowledge and community empowerment for Black Savannahians during segregation and beyond. Its mission is to uplift these stories, connect generations, and ensure that lived history continues to inspire the future.
