Bake the Book Club: Dobre Dobre — Baking from Poland and Beyond

Join us for an afternoon of baking from Dobre Dobre — a gorgeous book celebrating the breads, cakes, and pastries of Poland and its diaspora

This month’s baking club is inspired by Dobre Dobre, a beautiful book that takes us on a journey through Polish baking — from the Jewish bakeries of New York to the family kitchens of Kraków.

There is so much to choose from. Try your hand at chewy New York bagels, a wholesome everyday rye bread, the beloved Jewish apple cake, or plesniak — a gorgeous fruit-filled cake where the dough is pinched off to create its distinctive topping. With recipes spanning the breadth of Polish and diaspora baking, there truly is something for every skill level and every taste.

Pick a recipe, bake it with love, and bring it along to share with the group.
