Arthouse Cinema: 'Marc by Sofia'

An intimate, unconventional portrait of Marc Jacobs, crafted by Sofia Coppola to capture the genius and singular universe of the iconic American designer. In Coppola’s first feature documentary, she follows Jacobs in the midst of creating his Spring 2024 collection blending behind-the-scenes access with reflections on the pop culture, fashion, and artistic influences that shaped him—from The Supremes to Fassbinder. At once a study of a singular creative force and a tender portrait of a longstanding artistic friendship, Coppola’s collage-like approach celebrates the shared passions, late-night conversations, and enduring creative bond between two kindred spirits working at the top of their game.

This screening will be preceded by an introduction by Ash Williams, Manager at SCAD Bazaar.

Tickets for the film are $5 for SCAD Card holders; $8 for students, military, and seniors; and $10 for the general public.
