The Forsyth Farmers’ Market, through a partnership with Oldways, will offer free “A Taste of African Heritage” cooking classes throughout the fall, including a class on Thursday, October 24.

These immersive, hands-on cooking classes are designed to celebrate the rich heritage of African cuisine and to promote health-conscious dishes that are deeply rooted in African as well as Southern traditions. Attendees will engage in discussions about the cultural significance of the ingredients, learn culinary techniques and take time to eat, share and reflect.

“A Taste of African Heritage” cooking classes are free and open to the public. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
