The Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) is excited to present The Grow & Glow Link Up on Saturday, September 20th from 11am-1pm at the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center (PARC) 425 Pennsylvania Ave. This empowerment Brunch & Build event is for young ladies who want to elevate their lives through mentorship, education resources and career guidance. The Grow and Glow Link Up will provide a space for young ladies to express their everyday challenges, develop goals, receive practical guidance, and become aware of valuable resources that will empower them to change their lives. This will be the first of three engagements to be hosted by ONSE to develop a more intensive program for young ladies that will mirror Path Forward, an intensive program for young men. The Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) department of the City of Savannah is dedicated to reducing youth gun violence and increasing neighborhood safety through a collaborative community-wide approach. ONSE works directly with City departments, concerned citizens, and partner organizations to identify and connect individuals to support.

The City of Port Wentworth will be hosting their second annual Latin Festival from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26. This event will be a celebration of Latin culture and promises fun for the whole family. Guests can look forward to enjoying delicious food trucks, live music, dancing, kids’ activities, and a mechanical bull. Special performances will include the return of last year’s crowd favorite Son de Callao, known for their vibrant salsa music, and Los de PR is joining to share a bit of Puerto Rican culture.

The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire – Savannah’s leading organization dedicated to helping citizens proactively manage conflict and creating a more conflict-resilient community – is delighted to host the 2025 Peace in the Park celebration on Sunday, Sept. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Daffin Park. This fourth annual event, which is free and open to the public, will offer opportunities for community members to support peace, counter violence and celebrate unity.

Designed to coincide with International Day of Peace, Peace in the Park is the result of powerful local community collaborations and a shared vision: to build a more compassionate, connected and conflict-resilient Savannah. This uplifting afternoon will offer something for everyone, including live music, free face painting, Courageous Conversation Circles that spark deeper dialogue, a Youth Artists Corner, a wellness area focused on mental health and more. Food trucks will be on-site throughout the afternoon, including The Cone Ranger, Latin Chicks, Naked Dog, 520 Wings, Ark Royale Burgers and Molly’s Fish and Chips.

The Mediation Center will present the 2025 Peacebuilder Awards, which honor and recognize local peacebuilders, at 3 p.m. followed by a Peace Walk and human peace sign formation.

The multi-day Greek Festival, sponsored by St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, will feature authentic homemade Greek foods and pastries, dancing, a market place (agora), music and so much more.
Church tours of one of Savannah’s most unique structures will also be available for attendees. The Savannah Greek Festival celebrates not only the Greek community but also the diverse and wide-ranging cultures that make up the Orthodox faith.
This much anticipated annual event brings in a tremendous amount of foot traffic over the multi-day festival. This opportunity means valuable exposure for your business. The authors do book signings and sales while Book Nation of Dreamers collects book donations for community literacy activities here in Savannah. The authors are local and so are many of the stories. If you love craft beer, live music, world class BBQ, and delicious whiskey, this event is for you! On October 11th, 2025, we are putting on an event unlike anything Savannah has seen before.
