The Dive Savannah Celebrates Five Years of Impact, Compassion, and Community Transformation

Award-Winning Savannah Organization Has Donated More Than $1.3 Million in Services While Reuniting Families and Changing Lives Across the Nation

The Dive Savannah is proudly celebrating five years of serving the Savannah community and beyond through an extraordinary mission rooted in compassion, restoration, and hope. Since its founding in 2021, The Dive Savannah has become far more than a catering company — it has become a lifeline for countless individuals and families facing homelessness, crisis, addiction, mental health struggles, and separation from loved ones.

Over the past five years, The Dive Savannah has donated more than $1,316,000 in services while earning local, state, and national recognition for its innovative and deeply personal approach to community outreach.

With the powerful tagline, “Help Turn the Tide — Order Meals from The Dive, every meal purchased directly helps support life-changing efforts taking place behind the scenes every single day.

In 2025 alone, The Dive Savannah achieved record-breaking impact, helping more individuals than ever before while spending nearly $89,742 less in services than in 2024 — a testament to the organization’s growing network of trust and collaboration throughout the community.

Among the organization’s most remarkable accomplishments in 2025:

  • 28,715 free meals provided to individuals and families in need through walk-ins, field outreach, nonprofit partnerships, veterans services, and community donations
  • 493 family reunifications completed through transportation assistance, crisis intervention, and nationwide coordination
  • 65 missing person cases assisted, including four international reunifications involving individuals safely returned home to Costa Rica, Hungary, and Germany
  • 119 individuals entered inpatient alcohol and substance abuse rehabilitation programs
  • 88 veteran and children specialized intervention cases supported
  • 318 patient visits conducted through hospitals, detox centers, crisis facilities, and mental health institutions to assist with safe discharge planning
  • 3,842 spiritual support encounters involving prayer, grief counseling, guidance, and emotional support during times of hardship

The Dive Savannah attributes much of its success to the strong relationships built throughout Savannah’s first responder, healthcare, mental health, recovery, tourism, and small business communities.

“We are incredibly grateful for the trust and partnership of so many organizations and individuals throughout Chatham County,” said Kristy Crill from The Dive Savannah. “This work is only possible because of a community willing to come together and believe that every person matters and every life is worth fighting for.”

The organization specifically recognized the support and collaboration of:

  • Savannah Police Department under the leadership of Chief Lenny Gunther
  • Chatham County Police Department
  • Chatham Fire Department
  • Chatham EMS
  • Chatham County Behavioral Health

The Dive Savannah also credits its continued ability to provide thousands of meals and outreach services to Savannah’s tourism and small business community through organizations such as:

  • Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Tourism Leadership Council
  • Downtown Business Association

Faith has remained central to the organization’s mission from the beginning. The Dive Savannah shared special gratitude for its kingdom partners:

  • Christ Church Anglican
  • Compassion Christian Church

Notably, The Dive Savannah emphasized that all of this impact has been achieved without receiving government grants, funding, or material donations from any government entity.

As The Dive Savannah looks ahead to the future, its mission remains unchanged: helping people find safety, restoration, hope, and a pathway home.

Community members are encouraged to support the mission by ordering meals and catering services from The Dive Savannah, sharing its story, and continuing to help turn the tides for individuals and families in crisis.
