SAFE Shelter to Host 4th Annual Twilight Ball: Dancing in the Moonlight

Signature October Fundraiser will support survivors of domestic violence and their children while raising awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services will host its 4th Annual Twilight Ball: Dancing in the Moonlight on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Palmett Club.

Held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Twilight Ball is one of SAFE Shelter’s signature fundraising events and will bring together community leaders, businesses, advocates, and supporters for an elegant evening dedicated to raising critical funds for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Inspired by the magic of a moonlit Savannah evening, Dancing in the Moonlight will feature dinner, cocktails, dancing, exciting auction experiences, and meaningful stories of hope, resilience, and healing.

While the evening promises an elegant and memorable experience, the purpose behind the event is deeply significant. Proceeds from the Twilight Ball help SAFE Shelter provide safety, emergency shelter, advocacy, resources and support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout the Savannah community.

“Twilight Ball is a beautiful evening, but at its heart, it is about making sure survivors know they are not alone and that help is available,” said Lee Robbins, CEO of SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services. “Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship and every donation helps us continue providing the critical services survivors and their children need as they move toward safety and independence.”

October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, making the timing of the Twilight Ball especially meaningful. Throughout the month, SAFE Shelter is working to increase awareness, connect survivors with resources and encourage the community to take an active role in supporting victims and ending domestic violence.
