Greenbriar Children’s Center Hosts Community Nutrition Event, "Playing with Food"
“Playing with Food” Explores the Benefits of Healthy Eating & Wellness in Children
Greenbriar Children’s Center invites the Savannah community to join a morning of collaboration and discovery at the inaugural “Playing with Food” event, as they explore the benefits of healthy eating and wellness in children, from birth to age five. The forum will take place Saturday, September 9th, from 9am to 12pm inside Savannah Technical College’s Eckburg Auditorium.
Highlights of the day include a peer-facilitated panel discussion, featuring a diverse group of nutritional and health experts, Q&A session, vital health screenings, vendor expo, and the opportunity to speak individually with panelists. Attendees will be able to sample a variety of healthy snack options and have the chance to visit with various wellness-related resources.
Admission to the event is free and Greenbriar welcomes anyone interested in attending, as well as any organizations looking to participate, who feel like this would be an ideal partnership. “Playing with Food” is presented in conjunction with Forsyth Farmers’ Market, Georgia Department of Early Care & Learning, and Healthy Savannah. For more information, registration, and continued updates on the morning, please visit our “Playing with Food” event page on Facebook or through Eventbrite.com.
