The City of Port Wentworth is slated to host its fourth annual Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026. The event will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. behind City Hall, located at 7224 GA-21 in Port Wentworth. This celebratory event is free and open to the public and will feature a fun-filled evening for the whole family.

This free event unites the community in observing and reflecting on the importance of Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery. Entertainment includes Kwanzaa 365, Kimberly Gunn, DPI Live Band, and The Mary Davis Experience! With special performances and entertainment, this event is one you won’t want to miss! We can’t wait to see you there for all the fun!

Eastern Wharf will host a free Riverfront Concert Series performance by Savannah legends Damon and the Shitkickers!

The Riverfront Concert Series, which is curated by Savannah Stopover Music Festival, presents live music acts at The Park at Eastern Wharf, the largest public green space on the Savannah River. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Local food trucks The Cone Ranger, Mac Attack, Oh Crepe, Naked Dog and Latin Chicks will be on-site. Low Country Taps will return with their mobile bar service offering beer, wine and canned cocktails for purchase.

A true Savannah favorite, Damon and the Shitkickers deliver gritty honky-tonk with confidence and Southern swagger. This veteran Savannah band and multi-time “Best Country Band” winner stands apart as Savannah’s undisputed honky-tonk heavyweights, known for their roots-driven country sound and no-nonsense live shows.

Voted Best Country Band in Savannah for many years, this veteran outfit is led by guitarist and vocalist Damon Mailand, who brings a confident, high-energy presence to every performance. With raw vocals, twangy guitars, and a rhythm section built for boot-stompin’, Damon and the Shitkickers delivers classic country with edge and attitude.

Limited VIP tickets are currently available on Eventbrite for $50, which include prime riverfront concert viewing as well as complimentary snacks, beer and wine. 21 wristbands and ID are required for access to the VIP area. General admission is free.

Celebrate seven years of Ordinary Magic with an afternoon of community, connection, and Summer Solstice inspiration. Enjoy a Reader’s Fair featuring pay-what-you-can Tarot, Oracle, Palm, and Psychic Mediumship readings from local practitioners. My Veterans Place Savannah, Inc. will celebrate its 5th Anniversary with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, June 26, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m., with the official ribbon cutting at 5:00 p.m.

As a trusted community partner in veteran support and family stabilization, My Veterans Place is committed to ensuring that no service member, veteran, or military family is left behind. Through comprehensive programs focused on emergency housing assistance, food and basic needs support, mental health resources, workforce readiness, and community engagement, MVP provides a hand up not a handout restoring dignity, stability, and hope.

With support from our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and community partners, My Veterans Place has assisted hundreds of veterans and their families through programs designed to strengthen bonds and rebuild lives.We understand that even one missed paycheck, a medical emergency, or an unexpected expense can push a veteran household into crisis.

Tie Dye Workshop is from 1 – 2 pm, concert will start at 2:30 pm. Workshop will be in our social hall and concert will be in our sanctuary.
Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult for the workshop.

Join Coastal Heritage Society as we commemorate America 250 with an Opening Reception for our new landmark exhibition at Savannah History Museum. Explore Loyalists & Liberty: Savannah in the American Revolution, featuring 17 newly restored Revolutionary War-era cannons and dozens of artifacts recovered from the Savannah River in 2021-22.

Additionally, some delicate objects that are too sensitive to remain on exhibit permanently, such as the paper items from cartridge bags, will be displayed. Light refreshments will be provided.

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Savannah with Liberty on the Rooftop at Waving Girl, an exclusive Independence Day celebration featuring one of the city’s premier rooftop fireworks viewing experiences.
