The Forsyth Farmers’ Market will celebrate 15 years of supporting local farmers, strengthening Savannah’s food system and expanding access to fresh, locally grown food at a special Farm-R-Que event. This family-friendly celebration is open to the public.

Grilled barbecue will be served along with delectable side dishes that showcase Savannah’s vibrant agricultural and culinary scene. Additional event highlights include live music by local funk band Nickel Bag of Funk and fun kids activities.

All Farm-R-Que proceeds benefit local farmers and Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s programming, including 912 Food Farmacy, Farm Truck 912, Harvest to Table and Forsyth Family Farm Share. These community-focused initiatives are designed to promote food access, sustainability and health equity in the greater Savannah area.

Those who are unable to attend but would like to support the Forsyth Farmers’ Market are invited to participate in a virtual silent auction featuring unique items, exclusive experiences and one-of-a-kind gifts. The Olde Pink House and Park Place Outreach, Inc. are partnering to host Savannah’s Premier Kentucky Derby Party to support programming for homeless, runaway and at-risk youth in the Savannah community. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the 150th Kentucky Derby via livestream at Savannah’s must-attend Derby Party while enjoying unlimited Pink House cuisine and cocktails, including Woodford Reserve Mint Juleps and Casa Herradura Margaritas.

Olde Pink House Executive Chef Vincent Burns and his accomplished culinary team will prepare a wide range of Derby-themed culinary delights, including Braised Beef Short Ribs, Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches, Baby Back Ribs, Deviled Eggs, Chicken and Shrimp Tacos, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches and Banana Pudding.

The Olde Pink House will also host competitions for Best Bow Tie, Best Hat/Fascinator and Overall Best Dressed, awarding special prizes in each category. Live music will be provided by The Fractions, a popular local band performing original material as well as rock classics, pop and country.

Guests are invited to participate in a silent auction featuring a three-day, two-night trip to the award-winning Woodford Reserve distillery in Versailles, Kentucky as well as a private barrel selection. In addition, a special raffle will offer a range of items, including a signature Pink House spirits basket, Woodford Reserve golf bag and round of golf at Savannah Quarters Country Club.

Proceeds from Savannah’s Premier Kentucky Derby Party will benefit Park Place Outreach’s programming to support at-risk youth in the Savannah area. Services include emergency shelter, transitional living, crisis intervention, family preservation, and homelessness diversion services. Must be 21 to attend this event.

The Legacy of Leadership, hosted by Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, is a prestigious event taking place on May 8, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. We are thrilled to invite you to play a pivotal role in our Legacy of Leadership event!

Legacy of Leadership aims to celebrate the history of Girl Scouts and showcase the current Girl Scout Leadership Experience. The event will recognize influential leaders of the past, present, and future of Girl Scouts in Savannah. Mary Morrison is receiving the Legacy of Leadership Award – our exclusive award for Girl Scouts that honors a woman who reflects the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serves as an excellent role model for girls. Girl Scout alum, Dr. Denise Watts, SCCPSS Superintendent of Schools, will serve as the keynote speaker, an example of the present day leaders in Savannah. Current Girl Scout, Ella S., will be recognized as our Young Leader, due to her hard work in helping shape the next generation of leaders though the Girl Scouts program.

Heroes for Hallie Grace Inc. presents the 3rd Annual Hallie Grace Memorial Butterfly Ball for EB, taking place at Savannah Station [601 Cohen St] on June 7, 2024 from 6-10PM, featuring delicious dinner and dessert, live music, DJ/dancing the night away, a fun photo booth, a live butterfly release, a silent auction and more!

The event takes place around what would have been Hallie Grace Davis’s 3rd birthday and every dollar raised goes towards fighting the condition that took her life, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Adult tickets start at just $65 for General Admission; $100 for VIP [includes 2 free drinks, a reserved seat during the event, and a VIP Swag Bag]. You can also purchase a butterfly to release in memory of Hallie Grace Davis or anyone in your own life that you would like to honor, whether or not you are able to attend. There will be a full dinner service generously provided by the Metro Diner in Pooler along with several delicious dessert options. Heroes for Hallie Grace Inc. was created in loving memory of forever 3-month-old Hallie Grace Davis, who was born with the rarest and most terminal type of Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Epidermolysis Bullosa is a single mutation genetic condition that stops the body from producing a needed protein to hold the skin together, so it blisters and tears with any friction. It is known as “the worst disease you’ve never heard of” and there is currently no treatment or cure. Our mission is to ultimately change that! The nonprofit specifically focuses on raising awareness, funding important research, and improving quality of life for individuals and their families impacted by EB, and 100% of the money raised during this event goes directly to that cause.
