Join us for an evening of silly stand-up to benefit Over the Moon Savannah! Comedians Stephanie Kaple, Rabbi Robert Haas, and Front Porch Improv’s Jon Antoine will give us a night of laughter as we raise funds to help serve families in need.

Headliner Stephanie Kaple kept South Florida laughing while performing with Comedy Key West, opening for Howie Mandel, and finished second in Florida’s 2019 Funniest Female Comedy Contest. In Savannah, she won the 2021 Savannah Comedy Slam and performs regularly at local events and entertainment venues throughout town. Joining Stephanie is the wittiest mensch around, Rabbi Robert Haas, who is a regular with the Savannah Comedy Revue and Bare Foot Comedy, the spiritual leader of Congregation Mickve Israel, and the father of two spirited young children. Hosting the show, Jon Antoine is a stand up comedian and improviser living in Savannah. Originally born and raised in the Bronx NY, Jon’s love of buttermilk biscuits and humidity brought him to the southeast where he has been performing for almost a decade.

100% of ticket sales will benefit Over the Moon, the Diaper Bank of Coastal Georgia. Led by a mighty team of volunteers and with generous donations provided, OTM distributes FREE disposable diapers, wipes, period products, and incontinence items to families throughout the Lowcountry.

Get ready to don your finest cocktail attire and step into a world of glamour, music, and unity at the Southern Speakeasy Fashion Show on Saturday, September 30, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will be an unforgettable evening of style and purpose in the heart of Savannah.

The ‘Take It Off: Fashion Podcast’ is partnering with Savannah’s favorite community radio station, WRUU 107.5 FM, to host this fundraiser for the station in the heart of downtown Savannah at King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Bar, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Savannah, GA, where local vendors will be on full display.

WRUU is partnering with many of Savannah’s local boutiques and designers to show off the latest and greatest of the unique fashions that are available in our community. This event will combine a jazzy aura with a prohibition-era speakeasy atmosphere. Hosting the show is award-winning local filmmaker Kareem McMichael. His brother GQ Smooth from the WRUU show Smooth Mic will be co-hosting with him.

While the speakeasy ambiance may suggest the 1920s, attendees will be able to gaze at the many beautiful looks and colors that are incorporated into modern fashion, as well as a few surprises.

Not only can people expect beautiful fashion from local boutiques, but there will also be entertainment for attendees through live entertainment.

Vendors will be at the event to show off local goods that may pair well with the fashion on the runway or something in the attendee’s own closet. We believe in the power of our local brands and products and want to support them.

The Hope Walk has become a cherished annual tradition, where individuals from all walks of life come together to create a supportive and inclusive community. Our mission is to normalize conversations about mental health, provide hope to those struggling, and inspire courage to seek help. By walking side by side, we believe that together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by these silent battles. Our stories of Hope, coaching and various aspects of support is changing lives!

Why should you join us?

• Community Support: Our Hope Walk offers a safe and nurturing environment where you can connect with like-minded individuals, share stories, and offer support to one another. Together, we can create a strong network that fosters understanding and empathy.

• Raise Awareness: By participating in the Hope Walk, you become an advocate for mental health. Your presence helps shine a light on the importance of addressing stress, anxiety, and depression, ultimately breaking down the stigma associated with these conditions.

• Inspire Hope: The act of walking itself symbolizes forward momentum, resilience, and determination. By participating in the 8th Hope Walk, you will inspire hope in others, showing them that they are not alone and that brighter days are possible.

• Make a Difference: All funds raised during the Hope Walk will directly support mental health initiatives, such as our coaching programs, educational workshops, sharing stories of Hope, and community outreach efforts. By joining us, you become a catalyst for change, bringing hope and healing to individuals who need it most.

Our fundraising goal for this year’s Hope Walk is $16,000. We are asking each participant to raise a minimum of $100 of tax-deductible donations. All donations welcome, each dollar helps!

The 38th Annual Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head Island Chili Cook Off & Jeep Island Presented by Hampton by Hilton will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Coastal Discovery Museum. The event raises much-needed funding for local youth charities. More than 25 chili cooks will face off to determine the best concoctions in Professional, Amateur, and People’s Choice categories. Winners will earn cash prize donations to the local youth charity of their choice. The Jeep Island expo is a stunning array of Jeeps from around the nation – a must-see for any Jeep enthusiast. This year’s Cook Off features live music by Hilton Head Island’s premier ‘80s cover band – RetroRoxx! There’s also a Kids Zone, dessert vendors, and burgers and dogs grilled up by the Kiwanis’ own Grill Team!
