Savannah City Market will host its first “Art & Soul Music Festival” on Saturday, May 4 from 2-8 p.m. The festival will showcase City Market artists and businesses and include music from local bands to create an afternoon of entertainment in the courtyard and upstairs in the City Market Art Center.

City Market has been the hub of Savannah for centuries and has become an iconic destination for art, music and entertainment in downtown Savannah. With more than 40 merchants, City Market is a popular location for local artists and businesses to showcase their talents and provide unique experiences.

“The heart of Savannah can be found in City Market with local art, shops, music, food and history connecting people with the city and each other,” says Robert Tulloch, Co-Owner of Savannah City Market. “By celebrating local artists, musicians and business owners, we are preserving the spirit of City Market as a gathering place for community, creativity and commerce.”

The festival will kick off City Market’s 2024 events schedule which includes several festivals, shopping experiences and new openings.

“Creating the Art & Soul Music Festival allows us to showcase all of our artists and local businesses, along with celebrating the return of live music to the courtyard,” says Kimberly Phillips, Managing Director of Savannah City Market. “We invite locals and visitors to come experience the best of Savannah City Market both during this festival and throughout the year. Several exciting new openings are coming soon.“

The 2024 Art & Soul Music Festival includes artist demonstrations, live music, shopping discounts and restaurant specials. Guests can also help create an interactive public art project for display in the City Market Art Center. This festival is free and open to the public.
