Maizal Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting

Maizal — Savannah’s first and only gluten-free café — will host a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the corner of Habersham Street and East 37th Street in Savannah’s Starland District on Thursday, November 5th at 11 a.m. Owned and operated by Big Bon Bodega partners Kay Heritage and Shahin Afsharian, Maizal is a unique concept developed by Bogota, Colombia native, chef and Big Bon team member Marisol Borrego. The new Colombian café and special event space will serve authentic arepas, Colombian-inspired bowls, handmade pastries, locally roasted Colombian coffee, smoothies and more.
