Local content creator will showcase community events across WJCL 22’s broadcast and digital platforms

WJCL 22 is pleased to announce that longtime Savannah content creator and event photographer Bunny Ware and her brand, “Bunny in the City,” are joining WJCL 22.

Beginning Sept. 1, Ware will share photos and videos from events across Chatham, Effingham, Bulloch, Bryan and Liberty counties. Her coverage will appear on WJCL 22 News, WJCL.com and the WJCL 22 News App.

“We are excited to reunite with Bunny and her years of experience illuminating events in the Savannah community,” said Ben Hart, President and General Manager of WJCL 22. “This is a wonderful expansion of our mutual commitment to showcase what’s great about the Savannah area.”

The partnership marks a homecoming for Ware, who began working at WJCL 22 about 15 years ago on the assignment desk before moving into a community relations role.

“Coming back to WJCL 22 feels a little like coming home,” Ware said. “I love seeing how much the station has grown its commitment to the community, especially nonprofits and people doing good things. That’s what I’ve always wanted ‘Bunny in the City’ to be about — shining a light on the people and events that make this area special.”

For more than 20 years, Ware has documented Savannah’s social and community scene. “Bunny in the City” began as a social column in the Savannah Morning News and has grown into a multimedia presence spanning photography, print, digital, radio and social media.

Ware has a weekly radio segment on WRHQ and contributes to several local publications and platforms. In 2025, she received the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Advocate Award for her commitment to promoting local businesses and the people behind them.

Audiences can see content from “Bunny in the City” on WJCL 22 News, WJCL.com and the WJCL 22 News App beginning Sept. 1.
