Also, bring your family, friends and holiday spirit each weekend in December for holiday cheer. All events are free and open to the public.

Friday, December 5, 6-8 p.m.

Start your weekend with a magical evening in City Market on Friday, Dec. 5! Meet in front of Wexford’s at 6:15 p.m. for a candle-lit procession with caroling that leads to the City Market Tree Lighting Ceremony with music by Kimberly Gunn. Afterwards, explore City Market for special shopping deals, music & live demos in the Art Center and pictures with Father Christmas. There will even be a Santa Duck Hunt for festive prizes if you find one hidden in City Market! It’s the perfect way to welcome the holiday season- Savannah-style.

Saturday, December 6, 1-3 p.m.

The celebration continues with an afternoon full of holiday fun on Saturday, Dec. 6. Sing along at open-mic Christmas karaoke in the courtyard, shop local in retail stores and artist tents for one-of-a-kind gifts, stop by the kids zone for holiday activities, and don’t miss the Pet Parade & Costume Contest featuring our city’s cutest and most creative four-legged friends decked out in their best holiday attire. (Meet in front of Woof Gang Bakery at 2:15 p.m. to enter the parade and costume contest). Father Christmas will make a special appearance for photos too!

Saturday, December 13 & 20, 1-3 p.m.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Father Christmas for a merry photo at Saturdays with Santa! Come down to City Market on Saturday Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 from 1-3 p.m. to shop small businesses, browse local art, enjoy seasonal food menus and specialty cocktails, and listen to live music in the courtyard.

Join us for the first performance inside SCT’s new home, the castle on Mall Boulevard! Reserve your tickets early – don’t get caught saying “bah, humbug!”

A festive, family-friendly storytime event featuring beloved local author Caroline Armstrong, who will appear as Mrs. Claus. Children are invited to join for a cozy morning of storytelling, including Armstrong’s own The Guardian of Calibogue, along with photos with Mrs. Claus and holiday treats. Guests can also enjoy a build-your-own hot cocoa bar, where little ones can pick their favorite toppings and sip their sweet creations while listening to storytime. The event will run from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.

Every winter the North Atlantic Right Whales return to our local waters to birth their newborns. Celebrate NARW season and learn more about this critically-endangered species with live music, food trucks, whale-themed games, and family fun—plus FREE ADMISSION to the science center all day!

Kick off the season with creativity at our Christmas Wreath Workshop, led by the designers from the local John Davis Florist. Learn step-by-step how to craft a beautiful, fresh holiday wreath using fragrant evergreens, seasonal accents, and your own personal flair.

The Savannah Theatre, in the historic district of downtown Savannah, brings holiday glitz and glitter with “A Christmas Tradition.” This one-hour variety show features dancing reindeer, Santa and his elves, along with an award-winning cast of singers and a live band performing all the classic Christmas favorites to benefit the single mothers of Shelter From the Rain.

Shelter From the Rain, Inc. (SFTR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, based out of Savannah, Georgia, that provides assistance to single mothers and children in need. This year, we are raising funds to support our new Mental Health for Single Moms program, our Virtual Tutoring Services for Students, our Community Diaper Bank, our Hope For the Holidays Christmas Giveaway and our other programs for moms.

Join us on December 11th from 5 to 7 PM at the museum for a family- and pet-friendly holiday celebration!

The denizens of Mistletoe Falls have been through a lot! At first, it seemed to be the kind of place that only existed in one of those cheesy TV Christmas movies; a place where everyone loves the holidays, the girl always gets the guy, and there’s always a happy ending. It was nice, but not exactly “real.” Some magical help from Santa helped them keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff and it seemed like they were all ready to live happily ever after. But the lure of cheesy TV Christmas movies is strong and before they know it, things started to go back to old ways that they thought they had left behind, driven there, in part, by a dastardly version of Mrs. Claus!

But they worked it all out and everyone thought they were going to live happily ever after. Little did they know that murder was on it’s way to Mistletoe Falls and it is time for Santa to meet his maker!

So, who killed Santa Claus? That’s up to you! The audience gets to vote at intermission and then we’ll change the ending based on what you decide!

Screenwriter Rick Garman has written nearly two dozen holiday films for networks like Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, and is once again bringing that Christmas magic to the Savannah Cabaret stage!

Filled with live cabaret performances of holiday classics like “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Let It Snow!,” “White Christmas,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and many more, this is sure to be a holiday classic that hopefully won’t get the guy who writes movies like this fired.
