The race route starts at Daffin Park, loops through the picturesque Ardsley Park neighborhood, and ends back at Daffin Park. Participants are invited to a post-race awards ceremony, which includes food and beverages. No rollerblades or bicycles please. Pets are permitted only with participants and on a leash. Strollers are welcome! We are rain or shine!

The denizens of Mistletoe Falls have been through a lot! At first, it seemed to be the kind of place that only existed in one of those cheesy TV Christmas movies; a place where everyone loves the holidays, the girl always gets the guy, and there’s always a happy ending. It was nice, but not exactly “real.” Some magical help from Santa helped them keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff and it seemed like they were all ready to live happily ever after. But the lure of cheesy TV Christmas movies is strong and before they know it, things started to go back to old ways that they thought they had left behind, driven there, in part, by a dastardly version of Mrs. Claus!
But they worked it all out and everyone thought they were going to live happily ever after. Little did they know that murder was on it’s way to Mistletoe Falls and it is time for Santa to meet his maker!
So, who killed Santa Claus? That’s up to you! The audience gets to vote at intermission and then we’ll change the ending based on what you decide!

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum—an acclaimed museum dedicated to celebrating and preserving America’s maritime legacy—is delighted to present “Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky,” an exciting new solo exhibition featuring nautical-inspired, mixed-media art by Rob Strati, from September 25, 2025 through April 12, 2026.
“Beyond the Plate” will showcase new work by one of America’s hottest contemporary artists. Strati has recently enjoyed sold-out exhibits at Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis and FREMIN Gallery in New York and has sold work to top international art collectors in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai and beyond. Strati’s art incorporates broken porcelain plates that have been embellished and adorned with creative details. The exhibition features the artist’s latest bold, kinetic mixed-media works and limited-edition prints as well as an ambitious site-specific installation that will be suspended from the ceiling of the Ships of the Sea atrium.
Strati’s latest series was inspired by a porcelain plate from his wife’s late mother, which accidentally fell and broke into fragments. In order to preserve the shards of the shattered plate, and the memory of someone vitally important to both him and his wife, the artist began working on his “Fragmented” series, using pen and paper to “explore the possibilities of things broken and the stories that can evolve from the pieces left behind.”
Each piece of Strati’s art starts with the breaking of a porcelain plate and takes approximately two weeks to complete. Although the artist is rigorous about his creative process, he always allows space for spontaneous ideas to emerge from the fragments. Over time, he has learned important lessons about art and life by creating new works of art from broken shards.
Strati describes his work as a “mix of chaos and control” that is constantly evolving. He hopes his upcoming exhibition at Ships of the Sea will inspire visitors to think about time, creativity and beauty in fresh, new ways. ABOUT ROBERT STRATI: Originally from Boston, Strati grew up in Columbus, Ohio and earned a B.A. in History of Art from Ohio State University. His art has been exhibited at leading international museums and art galleries and has been featured in The Art Newspaper, Whitehot Magazine, Reclaim, Beaux Arts, Sculpture Magazine, Vice and The Village Voice. Strati’s work and “Beyond the Plate” will also be featured in ARTS Southeast’s fall issue of IMPACT Magazine in October 2025.

Throughout her storied career, actress Glenn Close has collaborated closely with costume designers to help bring the characters she embodies to life. Inspired by the creativity and craftsmanship she saw in her film and theater productions, she began collecting and preserving costumes and accessories from her projects after her first movie, The World According to Garp (1982). In 2017, she donated her over 800-piece collection to the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection in the School of Art, Architecture Design at Indiana University.
First presented at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University in 2020, The Art of the Character: Highlights from the Glenn Close Costume Collection will offer visitors a unique opportunity to thoroughly explore the careful consideration and exacting details that teams of designers, drapers, and other craftspeople created in over 50 ensembles and numerous examples of jewelry, shoes, and other accessories. It will feature the work of award-winning costume designers, including Anthony Powell (1935–2021), Ann Roth (b. 1949), James Acheson (b. 1946), and Alexandra Byrne (b. 1962), and costumers like Barbara Matera Ltd (active 1968–2001), from 14 of Close’s best-loved movies.
This exhibition is organized by Telfair Museums in partnership with the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection at the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, and Design of Indiana University.

Oliver Maner, one of Savannah’s most distinguished law firms, announces its annual donation drive in recognition of National Homelessness Awareness Month this November. The firm will be collecting essential items to benefit Parker’s House at Union Mission, the area’s only facility dedicated to providing emergency housing and supportive services for unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness.
The community is invited to donate new, unopened essentials from Monday, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Oliver Maner, 218 W. State St., Savannah, GA 31401. For drop-off, the office is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The online Amazon Registry with most-needed items is also available, found here.
Requested items include:
Personal care products
Cleaning supplies (Swiffer products, Lysol cleaners, disinfectant wipes)
Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper)
Linens (pillows, sheets, bath towels)
The drive is especially significant this year as one of Oliver Maner’s partners, William “Bill” Hunter, currently serves as the Union Mission Board Chair.
“Oliver Maner is committed to giving back to the community, and this annual drive for Parker’s House is an initiative close to our hearts,” said Hunter. “I want to commend Associate Amelia Stevens, who has championed this effort for the firm over the past few years. It’s easy to take for granted the basic necessities, and this tangible show of support helps empower women to rebuild their lives and regain independence. We are honored to partner with the Savannah community and Union Mission to make a real difference.”
“This donation drive is a tangible way to show our commitment to helping women in need,” added Oliver Maner Associate Amelia Stevens. “We are focused on supporting Parker’s House as they provide essential resources to women in our community.”
Parker’s House provides emergency housing and supportive services for up to 32 women at a time through an intensive 90-day program focused on personal, economic, and housing stability. Union Mission has served more than 700 women since opening Parker’s House in 2022. Oliver Maner invites the Savannah legal community and the public to participate throughout November.

Seeking a sweet way to spice up Thanksgiving break? Skip the shopping and get creative with confections! The SCAD Museum of Art welcomes you to decorate cookies at TAD café. First, explore the galleries to inspire your confectionary creations. Then, learn cookie crafting techniques from associate curator and edible art extraordinaire Brittany Richmond. Enjoy holiday treats as you create your own baked goods to take home or gift to that special (hungry) someone. This workshop is intended for middle school-aged students. Drop off begins at 8:45 a.m. A museum educator will be stationed at the Turner Blvd. entrance under the glass tower from 8:45 to 9 a.m. for your convenience.
