17th Annual Dancing with Savannah Stars 'Almost There' Party Set for March 12th

Brightside Child & Family Advocacy is excited to announce the “Almost There” party, a celebration leading up to the 17th Annual Dancing with Savannah Stars signature fundraising event. The party will take place on Wednesday, March 12th at 5:00 PM at Starland Yard, located at 2411 Desoto Avenue, Savannah, GA 31401.

Executive Director Kate Blair shares, “As we approach our biggest annual fundraiser, this event serves as a reminder that we are 'Almost There.' Our 2025 Dancing with Savannah Stars dancers have been tirelessly raising funds and awareness for children in foster care. Each dancer was tasked with raising $15,000 on behalf of Brightside Child and Family Advocacy, and it's incredible to see that some dancers have already surpassed this goal. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication over the past few months.”

Brightside Advocacy comprises Savannah CASA, Prevent Child Abuse Greater Savannah, and Bright House. Together, these programs work diligently to protect children navigating the foster care system. Research has shown that children with a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer fare significantly better in the child welfare system and adulthood than those without one.

This year’s participating dancers include:
Kelly Roberts with B Street Salon
Christine Harley of Christina’s Healing Hands
Brooke Chase with Simply B. Social
Liz Moore with SCAD/FP
Anthony Burton of Burton Law Offices
Laura Stanga a CASA volunteer
Mahala Lewis with Satchel and Port City Sewing Co
Gassi Mendoza of Lynch Associate Architects
Glory Paul with Farah & Farah Law Firm
Marshall Moise with Transform Savannah
Quin Peterson of Housing Savannah

All funds raised from this campaign will directly support Brightside Advocacy’s programming. With the support of our neighbors, we envision a community where every child is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.

Join us in celebrating our dedicated dancers and supporting an important cause at the “Almost There” party. We look forward to seeing you there!
