“Imagine a World without Violence”

SAFE Shelter, the largest domestic violence shelter serving Georgia’s coastal region, will host its 4th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Conference on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Georgia Tech Building in Pooler, GA.

Held during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, this impactful one-day conference shines a national spotlight on teen dating violence while emphasizing education, engagement, and empowerment for teens, young adults, and the broader community.

The annual conference brings together professionals, students, advocates, law enforcement, educators, and community members who are united in the mission to end domestic violence and support survivors. The 2026 conference will offer in-depth education on domestic violence and related issues while equipping attendees with practical tools to respond safely, effectively, and compassionately.

The event will feature keynote speaker Chelsea Simpson, author, domestic violence survivor, advocate, and 4 the Jewel NU Board Member. Attendees will also benefit from a panel discussion titled “Protecting Our Teens: Understanding Teen Dating Violence, Prevention, and Support.” Additional sessions will cover topics including Crisis Calls & Safety Planning, Know Your Rights, Teen Dating Violence, Self-Care Is Essential, De-escalation, and more.

“Domestic violence impacts every community, every profession, and every generation,” said Daisy Hernandez, Director of Outreach and Community Education at SAFE Shelter.“This conference is designed to educate, empower, and connect our community partners so that together we can prevent domestic violence, protect victims, and promote meaningful change in the lives of individuals, families, and our community.”
