Join Clinton Edminster, Grace Sotomayer-Mantri, Shawnessey Cargile and host Paul Meyer for a night of comedy, delicious food and drinks! It’s Stand Up for Kids – Savannah Celebrity Comedy Competition 2024! Stand Up for Kids will benefit Savannah’s at-risk-youth turned both academic and weightlifting champions at PI or Performance Initiatives.The campaign entails four local Savannah celebrities participating in an eight week fundraising competition that will culminate with a fun evening in which each celebrity comic will perform in a short stand up comedy routine or a comedy sketch with one of PI’s child champions.
The event will take place on October 5th and doors open at 6:30 pm at the American Legion Ballroom on Bull Street. Watch as local funny folks Shawnessey Cargile, Clinton Edminster, Grace Sotomayor- Mantri and Paul Meyer of Meyer and Sayers put it all on the line with a stand up routine for at-risk youth in our community. Currently, they are running campaigns to raise the most funds and win the “Crack Up Crown” at this one-of-a-kind event. Tickets are $40 per person for an evening of fun, laughter and philanthropy!
