The Forsyth Farmers’ Market (FFM) is delighted to host a luncheon to show appreciation for the many farmers, vendors, sponsors, donors and local residents who support the market’s mission throughout the year. The luncheon menu will feature fresh, delicious food sourced directly from Saturday Forsyth Farmers’ Market vendors as well as a special awards presentation recognizing FFM champions.
Keynote speaker and food justice advocate Sagdrina Brown Jalal will share how she is engaging diverse stakeholders in solving shared challenges, including expanding access to healthy foods. An innovative leader and industry trailblazer, Jalal previously served as the founding Executive Director for the Georgia Farmers Market Association, on the board of the national Farmers Market Coalition and as an advisor for Tuskegee University’s Organic Farming Project. Originally from Savannah, Ga., Jalal currently serves as the Senior Director of Community Innovation at the Center for Civic Innovation in Atlanta.
