First Friday for Folk Music Concert

Join us for an evening of acoustic music. Tonight’s performance features two acts: Colin Cutler and The Massey Boys. Act 1 – Colin Cutler A North Carolina-based songwriter toting a guitar and banjo. Colin Cutler’s music spans the breadth of Americana, from Appalachian old-time to blues to old-school country to folk rock, with lyrics rooted in the earthy storytelling traditions of the South, his Pentecostal upbringing, and literature. Act 2 – The Massey Boys, a dynamic trio whose sound is unique, with guitars, mandolins and voices combining into an infectious good time. Their playlist includes original songs and popular songs from rock, pop, doo-wop, country, Gospel and the Great American Songbook. As one reviewer said, “at a Massey Boys performance, no one has as good a time as the Massey Boys do themselves!”
$10 ($5 members) donation at door. First Friday for Folk Music offers a fantastic music listening experience: live acoustic music by local and traveling artists, low admission fee, alcohol free, non-smoking, secular event, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Refreshments available for purchase.
