Disney Summer Classics: Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company with a true milestone work, not only for the company, but for film history. A timeless fairytale about a princess, an evil queen, cute woodland creatures, a septet of aptly-named diminutive miners, it was originally dubbed “Disney’s Folly,” as no one had ever before attempted making a feature length cel animation film. Risking it all, and even mortgaging his house, to finish the film, Disney’s vision and the painstaking work of 570 artists culminated in a peak moment of American imagination that helped establish animation as an art form and laid the foundation for a style that endures today. Even the grumpiest among us will be dazzle by its brilliant colors, delightful songs, and unforgettable characters.

Tickets for the film, part of the Disney Summer Classics series, are $5 for SCAD Card holders, students, seniors, and military, and $8 for the general public. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission.
